Since the Pulwama terror attack, security is always stationed on the Jammu-Srinagar highway. Due to this, once again on the Jammu-Srinagar highway, a red alert has been issued on the whole highway after intelligence input to attack on army by bike on Sunday morning. According to information from intelligence agencies, on Sunday morning, terrorists can blast between seven to eight o’clock in the morning on the national highway.
After issuing an alert, movement of security forces has also been stopped before 9 am. Mobile internet services have also been snapped in Srinagar amid alert of possiblity of a terror attack. No reason for the internet disconnection has been given officially.
Security has been tightened due to elections. Today IG Kashmir has been instructed that no conveyance movement will be held in the morning. According to sources, Srinagar division and Pony Ground are the most sensitive areas where more fears are being expected to carry out the incident. It is feared that the terrorists can straggle on the highway. However, no official has said anything about the input.
In the Pulwama terror attack on February 14, the Convoy of CRPF was targeted by car, in which 40 jawans were martyred. After the Pulwama attack, the security forces had killed 250 militants by airtaking. After this, Bannihal had also tried to target CRPF convey by a car. However, there was no loss of any kind in it.
