Former chairman of Japanese company Nissan Motors, Carlos Ghosn has been arrested again after 28 days of getting bail. According to the media report, he was arrested from home on Thursday morning. Breaking confidence in them, there is a new charge of spoiling the atmosphere.
After the last arrest on November 19, 2018, he got the conditional bail on March 6, 2019. He was in prison for 108 days. In November, he was arrested for corruption, private use of Nissan’s money and showing low income. However, Ghosn has been misquoting all the allegations. He had shown 4 billion yen ($ 3.4 million) in earnings decreasing in 2018.
On Thursday morning, the Prosecutors arrested him at Ghosn’s house and they took him in the car to his office. According to sources, Ghosn was arrested in connection with allegations of using a portion of Nissan’s funds transferred to the Nissan dealership located in Oman. Nissan Dealership in Oman was operating a familiarity from seven years till last year.
According to the law of Japan, an accused can be arrested several times for different charges. This allows the prosecutors to interrogate the accused for a long time.
According to a media report, for the second time after the arrest, Ghosn has said through his spokesperson that it is a misguided attempt to silence some of the Nissan company’s prosecutors by misleading them. He has said that all charges against him are wrong. He is unbiased and will not give up.
Earlier on Wednesday, he had said on Twitter that next week the press conference will tell the truth. Ghosn was one of the top executives of Japan’s auto industry. He saved Nissan from being bankrupt 20 years ago.
